Connecticut Realtor Association Residential Lease Agreement – PDF Template
Created by the Greenwich Association of Realtors, this document allows for a landlord and tenant to make a binding lease agreement for a fixed number of months (12 is most common). The agreement made be for any residential apartment, condominium, house w/ grounds, or any other dwelling legal for renting.
Most landlords will require the tenant’s credit and prior rental history information through the filling out of an application. In addition, the landlord may require a non-refundable fee and at the end of the verification process will a decision be made for the issuance of a lease ready for signature.
- If the premises was built prior to 1978, federal law requires that the lead based paint disclosure form be given to the tenant. It must be signed and attached to the lease for it to be legal.
