The Arizona month-to-month lease agreement is a document used to solidify a rental arrangement between a tenant and landlord on a month-to-month basis. This is commonly used when tenants have completed a standard one (1) year term and wish to continue to rent from the landlord. The agreement may be valid as long as the tenant is paying rent on time and there have been no notices sent by either party to change or terminate the arrangement. If a landlord is looking to do this type of deal with a new tenant, they are strongly encouraged to have the person(s) fill out a rental application to verify their credit score.

Minimum Termination Notice

At least thirty (30) days notice must be provided if either landlord or tenant wishes to terminate the agreement (§ 33-1375).
