Mississippi Month to Month Rental Agreement – PDF Template
The month to month lease agreement in Mississippi is a preferred tenant arrangement where the lessee can occupy property by paying rent every month but is not on the liable for a fixed term. The contract under the terms allow for the landlord or the tenant to be able to modify the agreement with thirty (30) days written notice to one another.
Other than the differences with the length of the agreement or tenancy, all State laws are still required to be followed by the landlord and tenant. In addition, the landlord should not take the tenant under a Tenancy at Will lightly as the same eviction rules must be followed giving each tenant the same amount of legal liability as with a standard residential lease. All tenants should be reviewed closely through the rental application to ensure that all the criterias for a qualified lessee are met to reduce the chances of a possible eviction or non-payment of rent.
- If the housing unit was built prior to 1978 the lead based paint addendum must be signed and attached to the lease.
