Wyoming Rental Application | PDF
A Wyoming rental application is the only legal way for a property owner/manager or agent to check a potential tenant’s credit before authorizing a lease agreement. The landlord will usually request the following from the tenant:
- Social Security Number
- Job Status and Previous Employment
- Current Income
- Last Year’s Tax Return
- References – Including Employers and previous Landlords
- Fee(s) – Landlord may charge a fee for providing this service
Depending on the landlord, it may take as fast as thirty (30) minutes to run a simple credit check or up to a couple of days if references need to be contacted. Once approved, a lease shall be created in the tenant’s name.
Maximum Application Fee ($)
In Wyoming, there is no maximum fee that can be charged to a prospective tenant.
