Mississippi Sublease Agreement | PDF – MS Word
A Mississippi sublease agreement form is used by tenants with a fixed term lease and who seek to have another person (hereinafter referred to as the “sublessee”) to occupy either part of the space such as a room or the entire unit. The sublessee may not legally sign on to an agreement that goes further than the original lease signed with the landlord (unless the landlord specifically states that it is okay).
All legal and financial exposure related to the sublessee including but not limited to:
- Non-Payment of Rent
- Vacating the Premises or lack thereof
- Damage to Property
- Abiding by the Terms and Conditions of the Original Lease Agreement
Any of the above-described incidents on behalf of the sublessee will be a direct liability for the original tenant. Therefore it is highly recommended that all sublessees be screened through the rental application.
- It is required that the tenant provide the sublessee with a lead-based paint disclosure form in the event the housing unit was built prior to 1978.
