A New Mexico rental application is a way for a landlord to seek the permission of a potential tenant to view his or her credit score and eligibility for tenancy. The landlord may charge a fee for this service, one of which typically takes about two (2) to three (3) days to complete.
The landlord’s basic verification is to make sure that the tenant can pay the monthly rental amount every month. The general rule of thumb is that the rent should be no more than one-third (33%) of the tenant’s total income.
