A Delaware sublease agreement allows a person that is already under a lease agreement with a property owner or manager to rent a portion or the entire space to another person (sublessee). This is a common type of tenancy in cities and around college campuses when roommate type of situations are more popular. It must be understood that the original tenant (sublessor) is responsible for any person that moves in and if the sublessee does not pay rent for the suggested period, the sublessor remains responsible for the entirety of the rental payment. Furthermore, it is under the sole responsibility of the original tenant to evict the sublessee if the event should arise.
