Georgia Month-to-Month Lease Agreement | PDF – MS Word
A Georgia month-to-month lease agreement is for tenants that want to lease a residential unit temporarily without having to commit to a fixed-term agreement. The lease works much like a standard lease agreement, except that the tenant or landlord may change the terms or terminate the arrangement anytime (see minimum termination notice below). The landlord should have the tenant complete a rental application form and should obtain a security deposit to ensure the tenant is serious about the agreement.
Minimum Termination Notice
Landlords can terminate a month-to-month tenancy by giving at least sixty (60) days’ notice to the tenant. Tenants can terminate a month-to-month tenancy by giving at least thirty (30) days’ notice to the landlord (§ 44-7-7).
