Georgia Monthly Lease Agreement – PDF Template
The Georgia monthly lease agreement is for tenants that want to lease a residential unit on a more temporary basis without having to commit to a long-term rental agreement. The lease works much like a standard lease agreement except that the tenant or landlord may change the terms or terminate the arrangement anytime (see minimum termination notice below). The landlord should have the tenant complete a rental application form and should obtain a security deposit to ensure the tenant is serious about the agreement.
Minimum Termination Notice
Landlords can terminate a month-to-month tenancy by giving at least sixty (60) days’ notice to the tenant. Tenants can terminate a month-to-month tenancy by giving at least thirty (30) days’ notice to the landlord (§ 44-7-7).
