Missouri Sublease Agreement Form – PDF Template
A person that is renting property from a landlord may use the Missouri sublease to come to an agreement with someone else (sublessee) to rent a portion or the entire space. All the terms of the original or “Master” lease remain the same and the original tenant is still responsible for paying the landlord every month (whether or not the sublessee pays).
The original tenant may have to obtain permission from the landlord to conduct this type of tenancy as it is typically prohibited in a standard one (1) year residential lease.
Once the sublease is authorized, it becomes a legal document and both parties must abide by it’s terms and conditions until the end of the term.
- If the residential unit was built before 1978 the sublessee must be issued the lead based paint disclosure form.
